Can a member put me on to a source for an r65 front rotor that wont cost $500?

Haven't used them but other members have said that Motobins in the UK had good prices and reasonable shipping.

Rick Jones at Motorrad Eleckric has rebuilt stators for $90 and new ones for $125. go to their web site for details.

I think that the original poster is looking for a front brake rotor (disk), not an alternator rotor...

Do you want a new one, or will a service-able used one be OK ?

I don't have one handy, but I've bought used stuff from a power-seller from Texas on fleabay with good results - can't find his address at the moment but if you want it just PM me.

Dennis Kirk has a floating rotor for $169.... fits many different models (sounds intriguing..... anyone used these?)

Capital Cycle (Euromotorparts) has an OEM type for $177

Those are about the least expensive 'new' ones that I can think of. There are other aftermarket sources of EBC rotors >$200.

My dual front disks are great ....until the rotors wear out. Let us know what you find. Someday I will be shopping for rotors too... hopefully not soon. Good luck.

I've just ordered a rotor from Capital Cycle (Euromotorparts) down in Virginia - $189.00

A few years ago, I purchased new rotors for my 88 R100 RT from Motobins and the prices were very competitive. They key here is to order the Grimeca replacement discs vs the OEM. While the OEM brake discs are about $370 per rotor, the Grimecas are about $144 each (assuming a 2 to 1 exchange rate). The Grimeca's look like the OEM rotors as well.
