The Wednesday morning after the 'MOA rally, I was rear-ended by an SUV at a road construction site east of Paso Robles, Calif. My '03 K1200GT sustained cosmetic damage when it hit the ground on the left side and also a bent gearshift lever.
I will always be grateful for the way the folks at BMW Motorcycles of Fresno welcomed me, checked out my bike and restored the gearshift lever to proper function.
Service Writer Cary Smart greeted me upon my arrival, took my helmet and jacket, put a cold drink in my hand and introduced me to Service Manager Steve Collier, who got me back on the road within the hour.
Their competence and hospitality are a credit to the motorcycle industry.
