R1200rt Protection

I know that BMW Police bike has two variations: one with the City Bags and one with 'Highway' bags. Will the rear crash bars from the 'Highway' version fit the R1200RT? Since they are the same frame I do not see why they would not fit. Does anyone have any experience with this?
