My 86 K75 T's oil pressure light has started coming on when rpm is under 2000. I changed oil and filter 1200 miles ago, no visable leakage so I don't believe it's a volume issue, also sight glass says full. The bike has 70k. Any ideas. And yes I've stopped riding it. This problem first appeared at the Spokane National, I make it home (the long way, 400+ miles with no problems).

First thing, pull the rubber boot back on the oil pressure sending unit. This is on the lower left hand side of the oil/water pump unit on the front of the engine. Is possible that the boot is holding water and corroding the connection.
If that connection looks ok, then replace the oil pressure sending unit. Its cheap.
Did the filter spin on correctly? Did you double-check that you removed the rubber seal from the old filter? I would drop this oil and double-check all of your work here.
If that looks good, when you have the oil filter off, try to reach into the sump (wait until the bike is cold) and wiggle the oil pickup tube. Maybe it is coming loose or has some swarf on the end of it which is limiting oil flow.

Thanks for the quick resonse, I'll be out of town this weekend so this work will have to wait, but I'll let you know what I find when I get back.

It was in fact the Oil Sending unit.
I did try cleaning the contact before buying the part, no effect. The most difficult part of this repair was finding a socket large enough to fit the unit. Fortunetly my neighbor works on BMW cars and has an extensive collection of sockets.
Thanks much for the info.
