Finally, a nice, sunny day. So what if it was 35 degrees when I left home? It was a 180 mile ride from Beaverton, OR to Tillamook, OR via Highway 6, then North up the coast on Highway 101 to Canon Beach just South of Seaside, OR. I wanted to photograph the famous Haystack Rock before heading home on Highway 26 East. As I stood on the same spot on Canon Beach I turned South and Photographed the second shot. I crossed the 1,000 mile mark on my Triumph Rocket III Touring on the way back home to Beaverton. All in all, a glorious day!

I envy the beautiful scenery you have to ride in. I rode through there in 06 but didn't spend near enough time to really see it. Down here there isn't much scenery to start with and when I ride the remnants of Hurricane's Rita and Ike are everywhere.

Thanks PMonk. I know what I have here and go through withdrawals when the normal rainy, dreary Northwest Winter weather is apparent. I jump at the chance for a sunny day ride. I'm still falling in love with my new Triumph Rocket III Touring motorcycle. I now realize the tank range is about 200 miles. I used 4.5 gallons in 180 miles for 40mpg.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the new ride.

Great composition on the pics BTW.
