Looking for a tank cover for my '93 R100R. Anybody making these?

Check out Moto Bins in England. I bought a cover for an R100RS. They sell a variety of tank covers and I bet they'll have one for your bike. Shipping is quite reasonable and I recommend them.( www.motobins.com) They advertise in the ON magazine. The tank cover I purchased was well made and fit nicely.

Bagster makes tank covers for the /7 models. R100RS/RT etcetera. They may have one for your bike. Check out www.bagster.com The covers are made to work with their bags but can be used independently as well.
I may be wrong but I think you may have trouble locating and R100 tank cover to fit the tank on your bike. Another place to look is www.corbin.com as I believe they may manufacture also.

Some of the custom seat companies made tank covers, like Russell, Mayer.
The R100R tank is the same tank as the R100GS so some of the covers may be listed as GS tank covers.

Thanks for the tips; looks like Bagster has one for an R100GS that ought to work. Now I need to track down a US dealer.

Keep in mind, the GS got that tank in '87 so be sure that the GS cover is not for an earlier bike.

The Bagster site says they have one for a '92 GS; but I wonder why they don't offer one specifically for the same year R100R. It's a mystery. Is the GS tank the same as the R100R?

According to my reference the fuel tank for BMW R100GS, R100R/Mystic is: 16 11 2 307 759. The same tank. Ergo, the cover will fit your bike. The fuel tank for the GS PD model "is" different. If in dobt call them; that said I am sure it will work.
