I came about this || close to buying a V7 sport back in 74 but they were on 3 month backorder and I wanted a new bike NOW ( I was riding a Suzuki titan 500 at the time 200 miles each way over the weekends from DC to Norfork and that 2 stroke buzz was hell on that commute!) and so I wound up buying a Kaw 900 Z1A cause they were in stock. But man every time I see one of those V7's I think I should have waited, I know I'd still have it oh well.....

The 1100 is a local bike, and here is the scoop (http://www.sporttour.com/usedbikes.html)

My ex brother in law had a Kaw 900 same vintage as the one you describe. It was a brute for power.I rode a Kaw 650 that summer. We went on a couple of journeys together that year.I remember being in Minnesota somewhere,I think, and having to be very careful at the turtle/tortoise crossing.Very strange.
Yeah I am a Kawi fan.
My first bike was a 1970 Bonneville, when my pals were riding the screamingly powerful, gaudy Kawi 2 strokes, first the 500,then the 750.It is a wonder we all survived!!
Those Guzzis are very cool.
I just saw a German lady on a BC ferry riding one ,an 1100 I think, with soft saddle bags.

So are you going to mod it so that your top case works on it?

*VERY* cool Guzzi! I sat on most of their models at the last big bike show and cool as they are though, they don't fit really tall dudes like me. You need those short Eye-Talian legs to fit right. Italian cars are the same way.

I am being responsible, and holding off at the moment, but it sure is tempting. That bike would never see a topcase.

Dude, Suits, shoes, gloves, leather, furniture, bikes, cars, food, women, you name it. It's very hard to find something Italian that ISN'T cool!

Mussolini, Fiat... and the list could go on

Fiats are fantastic cars, unless you buy one from an american who thinks all you need to do to maintain a car is put gas in it and check the oil every couple of months. I've owned two, a '69 850 coupe and a 74 124 spider and both were great. As is my '78 Alfa Romeo.
Well, I guess you have a point with Mussolini. But at least the Italians did the right thing in the end. (My next door neighbor Tony was actually there)

Hey, but they elected an actress a few years ago to parliament as well, just like in California. Well except for the fact that she was in porn. :)
