New technology for panniers perhaps?

On occasion when driving to work on weekends I turn the ardion in the Jeep to the A.M. side and scan for what I can pick up. I happened upon an Australian radio show (!?!) that had an interview with this guy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJ_ea3cG38Y).

Look at this page. (http://www.joinlox.com/what-is-joinlox.html) Does it not seem that this technology could revolutionize our panniers? You could sell them with a lid section and base section. Then have intermediate width center sections that can be swapped out.

Just riding in town and need to carry a laptop? Just mate the lid section to the base section. Add sections like Legos as your riding needs change. Mix and match colors. The possibilities for us are endless. What say you guys?

The ability to have an expandable "trunk" or side bags is very interesting. Replacement costs for broken/damaged sections should be considerably less than the replacement of a complete bag. Ride Safe :usa :usa

Looks very promising.

Man, I wish I had thought of that. It's so simple, it's a wonder someone hadn't done it before now. Just think of all the varied applications (other than panniers)!
