Does anyone know where I can buy a trailer hitch for an 08 K1200GT? I can't find one anywhere on the net, but I know there must be one out there somewhere.

Did you ever find a hitch? I had one custom made for my k12gt last year and put 4000 mi on it. I still think they are unavailable for 2007 models on. If you want I can post photos.

After buying a hitch from Classic Industries and not being happy with the looks, I made my own. I was asked by several people at Johnson City to post some pics so others could have some ideas on making or having one made. The front mounting tab, the rear hitch plate, & the triangle corner brace are 1/4" steel. The tubing is 3/4" square tube. I have only pulled with it about 3000 mi. so far, but it worked great with a loaded Uni-go. I still have the Classic hitch for sale if any body is interested.

We "threaded" early this year about your homemade K1200gt hitch, as I remember you were going to be gone for several months. I hope it was for a nice trip.

I still have not made a hitch, checking to see how your's is working out. I'm about to get off my you know what and make a hitch. I'm looking for any suggestions you may have based on your hitch and pulling the Unigo.

I live near Indianapolis and if it would work out I would like to ride over and see your hitch.

I think that what you created is an excellent hitch for a Uni-Go. Nothing in the way of taking wheel off and constructed to maximize twisting force resistance. Fine work :thumb - Bob
