R100RT Stripped 6mm Oil Filter Cover

I've researched and feel confident that helicoil is solution. My dumb question is, Are the holes for filter cover screws "dead-ended"? If I leave filings from the tap or break off the tang into the screw hole and they are not retrievable is there any risk?

The holes are blind. You might even leave the tang intact-the small ones can be a challenge to remove.

Not a real problem. If U have access to air compressor blow them out. Or use a shop vac and suck them out.
