Does anybody have an update about a potential new LT? Somewhere I read the current light truck will not be available as a 2010 model.
Will the new one have the previously discussed inline six?
In The RA's OTL Bonfires section there is a small blurb about the New LT's
It will proberly be a K-1300-LT, and possibly a 7-speed transmission. The in line 6 is proberly not going to happen as they do not sell enough LT's to justify a new engine. Also the 1300 in line four is quite powerful and get good gas mileage. Maybe by years end or early next year.

I can't see them doing an inline 6. I think they are going to stick with transverse 4 cyl K's. Which way would they go with a 6, transverse or longitudinal. Both would have problems, I know BOTH have been done, so would not be a industry first, but either would be an industry first success. Or was the CBX a success?:dunno
I did see a photoshop a few years back of a 6 cyl K75S, it did look pretty horny.......

Gawd I hope it is not a 6-cylinder.
On the last ride for last fall's color tour my 2000 K1200LTC got 55 mpg, its best ever (60,000 miles). MPG never goes below 45 and is usually close to 50. This great bike has plenty of power if one knows how to use the powerband to advantage.
From what I understand, gas mileage for the 6 cylinder Hondabagos runs in the mid-30s, rarely if ever hitting 40. What's to compete with?
If anything, rework the K1200LT by removing known problems and maintenance headaches... and try not to replace them with new ones.....
Hello BMW ... hydraulically adjusted valves have been around for 40 years or more...
