Omega charging system - $330???

I know nothing more about this than appears at the following address - just ran across it essentially by accident - but it appears to be the Omega charging system selling for the sterling equivalent of about US$330(?!?) (scroll down past the float kits etc.):

FWIW. I have a brand new Enduralast, so I'm not in the market. And the price seems ridiculously low (it includes VAT, so here in the US that would be omitted and would probably cover shipping cost). Too good to be true?

I have the Omega in my R100/7, about two years old now and it was clearly around 500$ plus back then. I know its a good system, as mine is perfect:). Rotor, Stator, replacement diode board and regulator come with the kit, yes! 330$ is a low price and maybe made this way for a quick sale, or its been used a while. Randy

The website says they don't ship to either Canada nor the US anymore.

yeah, I dropped $600 a month ago on the Omega.

I am considering having it shipped to a friend in New Zealand, and having him ship it back here..

Today's exchange rate it comes out to 344.605 USD.
Then you need to add the shipping costs. If you have it shipped to New Zealand and then to you in USA, that is going to cost you a bundle. And they will still charge you VAT. It is manditory for them to charge the VAT, even when shipping outside their own country.

Would be way cheaper to just buy the Enduralst and be done with it. Current price on the Enduralst is $514 with free shipping in USA.

afaik, no VAT is charged when shipping from any euro country, out of the eurozone

uk VAT is currently 15% [just dropped from 17.5]

german vat is 19%
