Where ya headed? How many bikes? How often?

I have a nice 6X8 tilt-bed open snowmobile trailer with a front wheel channel. Basically, I stole it ($200 - divorce can be a wonderful thing for the rest of us). I can borrow a really nice enclosed trailer for crappy weather like this. Still, it doesn't take all that much to tie a bike down. Front wheel against something that won't move, suspension compressed moderately, and steering tied so it won't turn. After that, everything else is just insurance.

hey, CR,I changed this thread because I was embarrassed about how pathetically and desperately I was trying to figure out how to get far enough south to have a good shot at some riding weather for a couple days around the first of march, but The first place i stopped says the hitch install is already in the $300 ballpark and I probably need a Class 2 hitch which won't fit my car. Truck reantal + mileage+ gas gets expensive so i'm bumming just prior to coming up with a solution.
The good news is it looks like I have work booked thru the rest of the riding season. So my vacation falls....now till March 10. GO!

Yeah; I noticed. Read my PM. You can get by with a Class I hitch ...
