Wondering if the lower or lowering driver pegs makes much of a difference. I am 6 ft. and find the feet a bit high and rearward to my liking?? Will lowering ones help such and what makes are better?
I thought I read somewhere that you could put GS pegs on this bike and accomplish this also ?? I might have dreamed that to ?? :scratch
Thanks for any help

Helen's '95 had GS pegs and they were lower. I gave them to Twins4life to try on his wifes', but he reported that they would not fit hers, which I believe was a 96 or 97. Maybe he will chime in with a solution.

I wonder what the pros and cons are for GS pegs over aftermarket lower drivers pegs?? I am trying to get more relaxed ride postion not so much rearward like a crotch rocket.
Have a machine shop and welding shop in our gun shop guess I could just weld a couple of extensions on the bike :laugh
Do you have to change anything on the controls to lower pegs?
Thanks

The Suburban Machinery lowering kit moves the foot pegs both down and forward about 3/4" in each direction on my '95 R1100R. This movement is in the longitudinal (front to rear) axis of the bike, so I needed to install their longer gear shift linkage. The lowering kit also extends the foot pegs out about 3/4", in the transverse axis (across the bike), so I added a horizontal extension on the gear shift and the brake pedal. I also needed to rotate the rear brake pedal downward a bit by adjusting the lock nuts at the rear brake fluid fluid reservoir. All are easier to do than to describe.

Mark

I never rode it with the GS set-up. She had had the stock set up put back on when I met her. She said it was way lower in her opinion, but maybe not any difference in angle. She said she never scraped the pegs. The footplates had all the linkages installed both brake & shifter and toothed pegs.It was a straightforward install according to her bro-in-law, everything fit going either way.
Just a side note, her '02 R is way rearward in footpeg location ,definitely a difference between the '95 & the '02. My knees hurt after riding it with the low seat. She is 5'6" and I am 6'1''
