Hello All (also known as the "collective wisdom")!

As I mentioned before I'm a newbie to the BMW motorcycle club and am converting my 99 R1100RT-P from a single seater to a dual seater. Talk about a lot of excess wiring under the seat!

Anyway I need to remove my front fender for a short period. Is there a trick to it or does it simply unscrew in a fairly obvious manner?

:dunno

Thanks!

Scott

What a "Duh!" question I asked. I had the thing off in under two minutes. Now if only adjusting the valves were that easy...

:rolleyes

They are, it just takes longer.

I should probably explain. I have a K bike too. On the K I have to remove the timing cams to insert new shims, no small project, but really not hard either.

Scott, if my cats could hold a wrench, they would be able to adjust the valves. It is a no brainer, and once you have the Rocker cover off, you will see how simple it is.

TB sync is a bit more difficult, but not hard at all. In fact, My cats could sync the TB's, but I won't let them around the mercury carb stix I have.
