I was unsure what to do with the R1100S. It hadn't been serviced for a
while and I wasn't riding it much, so I asked the tech at Desimones Motorsport
what the 6000 mile check would cover (It has 7K mile) He printed out a
list and it must be a biggie because it included everything I wanted to
have checked.

Net was that I dropped $901.00 into the bike. This included a winter
special - two Metzler Roadtec tires for $100.00 which ended up being
$110.00. And the only other thing they found that it needed were front
brake pads. Front stoppers were feeling a littl mushy. Nothing else
needed to be fixed ot replaced.

The have a new guy delivering bikes, Devon, who seems to take his job
seriously. He even cleaned it before dropping it off. I now have what
seems to be a brand neew 1999 R1100s that runs and handles better than
even. The Roadtecs are nice and sticky once they warm up a little.

I was so pleased I was going to call Service and thank them. Instead I
called Vince in sales and told him, so he would know, to tell Service.
All-in-all a nice expirience.

Glad you're happy, but ouch!

yeah, the $900 was high for work you can easily DIY.
But the $100 for a pair of Roatecs (MEZ6, I hope, rather than some leftover 4's!) mounted was a smoking deal, and offset the service pain by a very conservative $100+!
