Rubber Handlebar Mounts on my R1150RS

I recently purchased an '02 R1150RS with only 12K miles, in great shape. It does though, have rubber mounted handlebars that I would like to eliminate.

I've been told that someone once made a kit to make them solid but I have had no luck finding a source.

Can anyone help? I'm currently in NM and the bike is in CA so I can't just go out to garage and take it apart to see what it would entail.

Try doing some searches in Bikers Oracle Oiler RS forum. It has come up there from time to time.
