I find the foot brake lever on my RT too tiny for my big feet.
I bought the Ilium extension.
It is listed as a shift/brake Extension.
When I went to put it on the brake lever , the lever is so tiny it is way too small for the extension too!

How do I put this thing on the brake lever and stay? :banghead

The shifter slips over. The brake extension requires installation including drilling a hole if I remember correctly. Then there is a bolt and not that holds it down.

Drilled from the bottom about mid way or all the way thru on top?
2 bolts?

Boxwrench--Looking at your existing brake lever as you are facing the bike you should see a round hole. It doesn't go through all the way through. You'll just be extending it all the way through with a drill and proper sized bit. See photo below of hole after drilling out.

....The knurled brake enlarger piece goes over the existing part and the cap hex cap screw goes into the hole you created above and is held in place by the nut (visible to the left of the brake lever in the photo below).

May have just been my bike, but this makes the brake lever a little heavier on the end of a 'lever arm' which caused my brake light to come on when going over bumps. It had not done that previously. I had to make adjustments to the mechanism in order to stop that from happening. Aside from that, I really like this addition to the bike. I have big feet, too and it's a bit easier to hit the rear brakes now. Good luck with your install!!

I was sent a 10-300.
Is the one I got only for the shift?
in yours does the bolt, nut and wrench come w/ it?

sorry but I don't follow you on the first pic. What hole that doesn't go thru all the way?
I only see the hollow core of the peg and it goes all the way thru.

From the second pic I am guessing I am supposed to drill a hole in the crown of the cover and install a cap head bolt and lock nut?

What size bolt and length?
It looks like I would need a thick washer under the nut to keep the nut flat and secure on the lever as the hole is same diameter as the front.

I presume the clamping force of the bolt and nut.is what keeps the cover from moving around as it is about 1/4 dia bigger than the foot peg.

Uhh, maybe I did a poor job of explaining. Let's try the directions from the package. Maybe they will be clearer.

aside from taking almost month for my order and 2 emails to them to find out why.

guess it will be another email.

Yep, 10-300 looks like it'll only work on the shifter.

Boxwrench, the extension I used on my 99 RT looks alot different than yours. Mine is sort of square and fits over the original brake pedal and uses a set screw to hold it. it works very well and cost about $54.00. I just don't remember where I bought it. Cycle Gadgets ( maybe )

Yes! I've got an 1150RT. They do list the 10-100 for your 1100RT.

Found out the order for the 10-100 went thru anyway.
Talked the them on the phone.
They said they will talking to the web guy to resolve thier problem.

shipping cost was reduced for me because of the size of the package. USPS instead UPS. So I got a break there.

Arrived today and installed. w/ blue loc-tite

2x the peg now for my big feet., kinda wish it was a tad fatter tho.

Stuck the 10-300 on the shifter as it was ment to for my bike rather than deal the sending back. It does make shifting less of a hunt for the peg.

Glad it all worked out for you!

Good luck with the brake enlarger install.

Let us know how the 'hole' thing goes!
