I am 61 years old with a 28.5" inseam and can't get my feet comfortable on the ground when riding my R1150RT. I have tried the Sargents low seat version and the height was great; however, the seat was very uncomfortable because of the padding reduction to achieve lower seat height. I will probably go back to the conventional Sargents seat because their seat is much better than the BMW seat. Has anyone had any experience with changing the shocks to get the seat height lower to the ground. If so, what results did you achieve, where there any unsafe or uncomfortable handling changes, etc? You kind response would be appreciated. I love my R1150RT with this being the only exception (high seat height).

you are of course aware that you have an adjustable seat height.
