Got an easy one for you guys:
Do I need to have a special tool (other than sockets and a torque wrench) to change the spark plugs on a single spark 02 RT?
I've seen some mention of it.
How important is it to change the spark plug wires at the same time?

It takes a 5/8" or 16mm deep socket. It needs to be a very thin wall socket to clear the inner valve cover gasket - or - you can change the plugs as part of a service when you adjust the valves and with the valve covers off a typical 5/8" or 16mm deep socket works fine.

There is a special tool to remove the stick coil, or spark plug cap as you may see it.
The tool's not necessary, just wrap a piece of line cord or drapery cord around the cap and gently pull the cap off.
The wires need not be replaced, if you're not having any spark issues and they are in good shape, but treat them gently. Some people disconnect the wire harness before removing the stick coil, I don't.

The original post said "single spark" '02 - so no stick coils are involved, unless I missed something.

Yes but - I missed the part about the little "puller" for the wires/caps.
Look for a little black plastic horseshoe shaped puller in the tool kit.

The sparkplug wrench supplied in the toolkit works well. You might need a slim magnet to pull the loosened plug out, though. Removing the wires is easy using light line such as what you might find on window blinds. Just wrap the line around the plug wire at it's wides part and tug.
