I have a 95 R1100R w/abs and have been losing freeplay.
Before going to Top O the Rockies, I did a full freeplay adjustment by setting the clutch lever adjustment to 10 mm and then adjusting the clutch end to get the recommended 7 mm of freeplay. The lockrings at both ends of the cable were locked
down.
After about 2000 miles, the freeplay was almost gone and the
clutch began to slip. Then the clutch lever end was adjusted to get the 7mm of freeplay back and prvent the slippage I was getting.
The question is, what is going on? Seems to me that if the clutch is wearing out, the amount of freeplay would be increasing, not decreasing.
Any ideas?????
thanks,
