Limit to photo numbers and size in threads

Is there a preferred photo size and is there a limit to the number of photos you can include in a ride report?

FYI - Resizing the photos to 400 PX I was able to load a max of 20 in a thread, but I'm not sure if there's a relation to file size and the max number of photos.

If you're hotlinking them from another location (smugmug, photobucket, flickr, etc.), not attaching them, you can put up to ten, I believe, in a single post.

If you're attaching them, you can only do one at a time.

It's been a long time since I had admin rights. I seem to recall changing it to ten back in about 2003 or so. :dunno
