View Full Version : Why is it impossible for me to post photos in the Flea Market?

Even using Photobucket (or not) it is impossible for me to upload a photo in my Flea Market ads.

Minimally-sized jpegs are a no-go.

I hit the 'upload photo' bar and nothing happens...

1. Post new Thread
2. scroll down to ‘Additional Options’
3. click ‘manage attachments’
4. Browse to the file, (.jpg) that you want to upload from your computer.
5. select and hit upload.

You have to make sure the files from your computer are within the guidelines for size and file type listed at the ‘Browse to upload’ window.

That works fine for regular posts in the Forum but I'm specifically referring to the MOA Online Flea Market form: During Step 3, when I hit "upload" after linking to my file or Photobucket absolutely nothing happens.

I'm sure that the photos conform to the site's requirements, too. So anybody have an idea what gives here?

You don't have to upload the photo if it is hosted at photobucket, Instead, you insert the code line that starts and stops with IMG and the related brackets and just click Post.

What happens then is the web site here shows the photo in the post window, even though it is hosted from another site.

That hotlink is what goes inside the IMG formatting codes -- keeping in mind that for your photo, it would be a hotlink to your account.

RickM, he's not talking about posting in the forum. He's talking about uploading photos to our flea market which is NOT part of the forum.

Do you have example of a photo that you're trying to upload? Post a link here to the image on Photobucket and I'll test a few things.

p.s. moving this thread to "How do I..."

Scott, thanks for the clarification. I was under the impression that Flea Market works much the same way as the forum in general.

Thanks, Scott; Just noticed the thread was moved here. Here's either a photo or link to photobucket as per your request (btw, no problem posting photos in the Forum---only the Flea Market):

I took off the [IMG] code or whatever you call it at the beginning and end of the link so you'd be able to see what the link looks like in type (otherwise the photo would show up instead).

This is a photo of some TT footpegs that I'd like to ,put in the Flea Market next and is already on my Photobucket album page. Really hope we can get this upload problem figured out and I thank you for any help you can provide. I'm not too computer-savvy but am sure that my basic jpegs are conforming to the site's requirements.

I wonder if this blasted Windows Vista OS on my computer is causing the glitch?

hmmm... I just uploaded that image without a hitch. Send me a PM with the ad you're trying to post them to with the images you want added and I'll add them. This problem comes up about once a month or so with a user having this issue. I'd like to track it down and fix it.

Sounds super, Scott.
