V-1 mount,vertical or horizontal?

If I mount my V-1 vertical I will create more space on my shelf. Will this plan work OK? Not sure if radar waves are directional.

I think if you placed it so the back and front were still pointing in the right direction it might work.

We use it in our Miata in all sorts of positions (liittle space to mount) and it works. But, not the best, because it reflects off the hood, or points to the sky.

I would prefer to look at the coverage pattern claimed by the manufacturer to determine if it won't work that way. Is it 2 dimensional?
