G650gs?!

I posted something about this in thumpers, but got no response. Has anyone else seen the NEW G650GS? They have one here in Vegas. It's a SINGLE-CYLINDER replacement for the old F650 thumper, but now with the G650 motor.

I didn't pay much attention to it but the locale dealer had a 2009 f650gs(thumper) on the showroom floor last week. It looked just like an old f650gs. I did not take the time to study the motor. The sticker was definitely labeled model year 2009 which I thought was strange because my understanding was that this model was discontinued.

I Just called them and talked to the sales assoc. He said yes, it has the g650 motor which is black in color. Everything else is just like the old f650gs thumper.

It has a fake "dual" exhaust, which threw me off when I first looked at it.

No its not a US only model.
We will be getting it in Australia next year also.:dance

And the exhaust is the same as the old F650GS used to have for the last 7 years.

This single cylinder 650 is the one with the Chinese motor?

The "dual" exhaust...one of the cans is the catalytic converter like the old model?

Price, about $7700 with ABS and heated grips?
