Does anyone know if any of the non OEM topcases' such as the Coocase or Givi will fit on the OEM luggage rack, and still allow use of the BMW system cases. Everything I'm finding on various web sites, makes it sound as if you need an adapter rack which is not compatible with the system case mounts.

I just purchased a used Givi rack for the 1150R that can be made to work for the 1100R. It mounts between the frame and the existing system case mounts. All of the bolt holes line up, but you will have to make a few of the bolt holes on the givi rack larger AND do a little non-structural/non-visible trimming of the system case mounts.

I'm going to do the grinding, drilling and installation this Tuesday or Wednesday, I'll take some pictures of the procedure and post them.
