Value of Supertrapp Exhaust

I purchsed a 84 R100RS this past summer that that came with an extra set of Supertrapp 2-1 pipes. I was talking to a guy I know and mentioned I had these pipes and he offered me $150 for the pipes. TI tld him I would let him know but I am not sure if that is a fair price for the pipes. Whats a fair pices for a nice set of used Supertrapp 2-1 pipes??

Seems O.K. to me. It's $150 more than you have right now. Let this new guy be the one to figure out how to jet the carbs to make it run good with this exhaust. I'd say "go for it", and don't look back.

its worth it if only to aggravate the puristas here.....
I got one on a popular auction site, sounds better while riding, without being loud to neighbors, didn't need rejetting. Tucks in better, too. Don't notice a power difference, but a louder pipe on a lawnmower motor surely makes it mow faster don't it?

2:1 Supertrapp exhaust are no longer available. (I called Supertrapp). They are only available used. The new price was $400.00, but it is now made out of "un-obtaineable". It depends on the shape of it. You should have 4 parts: The 2 single header pipes, 1 connector pipe, and 1 muffler. The muffler's don't last forever, I am on my second one, and it keeps some doing to keep them alive. However, Supertrapp is the on 2:1 that comes out on on left, so it is in very high demand for side car operators. If everything is in good shape, you should get $250 to $275 for the set, if it is still in good color, close to new price. My thought, anyway, I have been offered $400 and kept them on the bike....

if complete and in good shape double that. I had a set, sold to a friend for his sidecar rig and would like another set to replace them for my sidecar rig. Very hard to find.

Thats a fair price; more if they are mint.

My R80 G/S PD came with a set and I was only too happy to get rid of those noise makers.
