Finally, I've had some time to put this together. This past June my wife and I rented a Royal Enfield (thanks Chanderjeet!) and rode it from New Delhi to Agra to see the Taj Mahal. We were going to ride to Jaipur too but I got very ill. "Delhi belly." Original photo ride report here: http://www.bmwmoa.org/forum/showthread.php?t=27202

Very nice! You could have taken on extra passengers to help pay for some of the trip, looks like you should be able to get another 4-5 people on that Royal!

Very inspiring! I am sorely tempted to do something like this the next time I get to travel.

Populated, poor, polluted. Utter chaos.
The people were wonderful. I felt safer on the bike than walking on the street.
Nepal was much more mellow and the people more accommodating.
