Great job staff at ON on addressing many owners frustrations at BMW's seemingly ignoring complaints about FD failures. I thought the article was well weighted and explained a lot about how they work and why they may fail.
There was a term in the article about "preload." Is this the same idea as putting a spring between something to create tension? How does preload apply with the final drive units?
