On my R1150RT. The bike has 45,000 on it of which I have accounted for the last 10,000.
Anyway from the look of the belt, which was badly cracked and shedding, it was the original.
It took about 1.5 hours of which half was the bodywork, and about a quarter working out how to remove the top nut with the tools on hand. Basically I needed a much longer 13mm wrench.
I used a pry bar to lever up the alternator.
Anyway, if I can do it, anyone can!! Go for it.
