File Management window goes blank can't post picture

After selecting the picture using the browse function in the file management window I click on upload and the window goes blank and says done at the bottom but the picture does not post. The pictire is only 136Kb and sized correctly.
Any suggestions?

Is the file format in one of the recognized forms?
