Opinions/facts, please.

I am considering a '95 R1100R for my next bike. Has anyone put D/S tires on one and ridden unpaved roads? How did it work out for you?

Why the R1100R instead of the GS? I'm too short to be comfortable on the GS.

As long as you don't need the longer suspension travel of the GS doing whoops, deep ruts, and rock climbs, the R with D/S tires will do just fine.
