I am new to airheads (I have owned multiple oilheads previously). I just bought a 78 r100s from the original owner with only 17,000 miles on it. It sat a lot and was only used maybe a few hundred miles a year for the past 10 years. I plan on going over everything in detail this winter but now am enjoying riding it. The left carb float bowl leaks gas while running. If I come to a stop sign it leaks about 1 or 2 drops per second!!. It runs fine and idles good. Is there an obvious area I should check to fix quick. I will be rebuilding the carbs this winter but want to find something quick and easy to do now. I have not worked on carbeurators before but am very handy. I do have a haynes manual.

thanks

Where is it dripping from? It could be anything from a badly sealed float bowl to a float that's sinking to a misadjusted float.

This and possibly dirt in the needle valve and/or float.
