My buddies and I just finished a four-day tour through southern Missouri. This was my first ever and my first on my 1976 R60/6. We covered about 750 miles from Kansas City, to Stockton to the Mark Twain National Forest up to Potosi, then Hermann Missouri and back home.

I think the best part of the trip was the Taum Sauk mountain area. The leaves had started turning and it was gorgeous. Waking up under the bike and finding breakfast of persimmons on the ground was about as good as it gets.

Thanks! The best part of the trip was when we got to Potosi MO. A group of guys in Japanese sport bikes and one on a big KTM Adventure came over and couldn't BELIEVE I "RODE THAT OLD BIKE ALL THE WAY FROM KANSAS CITY (500 miles)."

When I got on to leave they asked me "how many miles does it have on it?"

I replied, "OH, this one's a low miler, only 64 thousand." They all seemed pretty impressed. I said, "you see these bikes around with 100,000 - 150,000 miles. That's pretty common."

They were floored.

Thanks for the comments.
