Hello all,

My bike, named Tweety Bird by my teenagers 1.5 years ago, is being bought "back" by BMW on October 22 or 23, 2008. That said, with me being no longer 1 with the Tweety, I am no longer Tweety1 and have a new username.

I also as of October 22 or 23, 2008 will no longer have an F-twin, so it is goodbye to some of you, as well. It has been great up to now, and I may pop-in now and then, but as a 26 or 27 year veteran of MOA, I'll be around even without one.

Goodbye, in the meantime:

Thanks, Paul from Guadalajara, after the first day at the Motorrad Mexico XII Rally. What blast so far!

Will advise when pics of the new ride are posted and where!

Well, that's pretty fancy. What are you going to call it? Those exhaust pipes will really have you "Riding where it's hot!":D

Low of 54 today, high was 88. Beautiful riding weather.

The exhaust pipes when I first rode it were wide open. Wow did it roar!

To make it more liveable the inserts went back in. Now it's throaty at idle, sweet across 1st to 3rd, and purrs like a cat in 4th to 6th gear. It is nice, indeed. Also took 10+ lbs off weight of the bike.

Have not given the bike a name yet, but now that you mention it, The Red Baron has a nice ring, no? Or Box'o Candy? We'll see.

How's the Bat Bike?

It's good - not getting much use these days, cold (<0C) and damp in the mornings and not much better in the afternoons. Waiting for our couple of days of Native American First Nations Summer and then it is hibernation time for 5 months :cry

I won't torture you over our weather.
