My dealer is so far away that I have to pay shipping AND taxes to get parts. I bought from Hammersly in Lynchburg, VA for years but they no longer answer the phone or ship parts if you use their on-line ordering. Called them today, finally got thru (automated) to the parts dept where I received the message that they were taking inventory and wouldn't be back until Sept 9th. (today is Oct 6th). Tried email, that don't work either. Got to wonder why they go to all the trouble of putting up a web page.
So any dealers ship immediately, have most parts in stock, charge reasonable shipping and maybe give a discount to boot?

The dealer I work with is Mischler's in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Aaron Webber is the guy in parts and his brother, Jason is the service manager. I haven't done anything long range with them but both follow through on items, usually the same day. They also answer e-mails, daily. I would give them a try and ask for a discount. It doesn't hurt. I don't do business with companies or people who don't return calls or e-mails on a daily basis. Too many other companies out there who do. Am I impatient, yes. But if I have money to spend and want to spend it I expect someone to follow through, same day, if possible.
They also offered nice discounts off the list price of the bikes I bought, 2008 R1200GS and 2009 F800GS.
Art is the owner and I have enjoyed doing business with him as well. If and when I buy a K1300S, I will give them first shot at it.
They are one of the oldest dealers in the country, dating back to the 1950s, I believe.
Plus, they answer my stupid questions when I call, not being a mechanic.

Try Bob's BMW in Maryland. They have great on-line sales, and even better if you just give them a ring. Good folks!:thumb

I ended up going to Bobs and they are the best. Don't ask me why I didn't think of them first since I've does business with them at rallies and at there store. I think I never used them on line since they don't have the parts finch on line. However Id did it the old fashion way. I made a list of what I needed, called them and emailed it.
Quick, within an hour, response. Got the package in a few days.
