Windshields for R1200GS

I have just installed an airhawk seat on my 07 R12GS. Wow, what took me so long. What a differnce. 275 miles on Saturday felt like a little jaunt to the gas station. However, I am 6'3"and catch quite a bit more wind in my face. What aftermarket taller/wider windscreens have you tried and liked? Thanks for the input.

I am also a wind-catcher at 6-3 1/2.

I have a 2008 1200GS and have about 18,000 miles on it.

I bought the Parabellum, the tallest selection, 22 or 23 inches I think.

I also added the two winglettes which come on the Adventure model 1200GS. These tend to keep wind off the chest and shoulders, sweeping under the windshield.

This works well and looks pretty sporty as well. You can catch a little wind and have the motorcycle feel without getting beat up.

Not sure about others but I am happy with this setup.

I wanted a smaller windshield most of the time. I cut down my stock windshield and was happy until I had to do long freeway stretches in the winter. The Touratech spoiler on my cut down windshield fixed that. You might want to try something like the spoiler or a laminar lip on your existing windshield before trying something completely new.

+1 on that.

I just put the CalSci screen on my '06 R1200GS plus a set of CeeBailey winglets for colder weather riding.

Can't say enough on how comfortable it is behind them when the temp drops. we even did 9 hours in the rain and 49 deg F returning from a trip a couple weeks ago. I was really glad I was behind the screen and winglets.

Some people cal them ugly, I call them practical, servicable, effective and many other good things.

Plus, Mark @ CalSci is a great guy to deal with.:usa

Laminair Lip....at least it works for me!!! And it was cheap (bought in flea market)

I am 6'2" and have an 08 1200GS. I just installed a Cee Baily 4plus in high 2inch plus width. It works great and was a snap to install with no extra hardware. You can order up to 6 inches taller and 4 inches wider. You may, at 6'3" want to go and inch higher to 5 over. I still look over the windshield, You dont want to look threw it .. I think you want it to be about chin high. Good luck

Aeroflow. Transformed the bike. Here's my review (http://www.bmwmoa.org/forum/showthread.php?t=9663) from 2 1/2 years ago. That was 30,000 miles ago and I don't regret it for a second. Highly recommended.
