Has anyone had strange wear issues on these tires. I ride a 2007 R1200RT and the front has excessive wear on the sides creating a high spot on the tire. Pressure is at the high end of rated and approx. 15,000 Km (9320 mi).

Picture worth a thousand words.
Not sure, if you are running the pressure on the high side, how the sides could be wearing?:scratch
It's common for the tire to wear flat in the center which makes it look like this \_/.

If you haven't already, I would double check your tire pressure gage against a few others. It could be indicating low, as a result you could have been over inflating your tires. An over inflated front can wear in a more pronounced V shape.

Wow, the Pilot Power 2CT's are sportbike tires for Ducati 1098's, Gixxer 1000's, etc. They come with the 390lb HP2 Sport. It is a soft compound tire, softer on the edges, for the track and spirited sportbike riding. The tire for the RT would be the Pilot Road 2CT's for more bike weight and greater longevity. Perhaps this is the issue, or maybe you meant the Road 2CT's?

Zackly.
FTR I've been running the the Road 2CTs for the last +/- 7k miles now and they wearing well. They also are lasting a lot longer than my previous Z6s.
