Going To The Sun Closure

Just a note to any of you who might be planning late season rides in the Glacier Park, Montana, area: the centre part of the Going to the Sun Pass is closed for construction.

I recall that last year there were some late season hardy types, riding in the area. :)

Highway 2, following the southern border of the park is still open for an east-west crossing. (We just took it this weekend). It is a beautiful ride, even though it pales in comparison to the Going to the Sun road.

And 2 is much faster as well, with much less traffic, usually. The other attraction is the Isaac Walton Inn at Essex, near the mid - point, which is a great place to stay, or to eat (and there's a great bar downstairs).
