Hey all, I'm just starting a "freshen-up" on a '70 SWB /5 and I've got a seat question. I'm missing the grab rail, but I do have a fluted (front to back) cover with no strap. Is this correct for my bike? My SWB should have the double grab rails, correct? I'm having trouble finding what is correct for my bike. My LWB R60 has the longitudinal flutes and a single hand rail, but I don't think that's correct for a SWB, especially a '70.

In 1970, there were two short grab rails. There was also a grab strap that went across the middle of the seat. But these usually broke and were removed (or removed so as not to break during use). But also, the seat cover finish in 1970 was not fluted at all. It was simply a uniform "pebble" finish with some white piping around the top rear seam. I've got pix of my '71 /5 that I can dig up for you. Contact me offline.
