If you have an interest in the topic of Final Drive failures, the Sept 2008 Motorcycle Consumer News has a very good piece on the subject. It gives the history, and as much of the techical info that anyone has to date. I don't know if they have an on line option, as the printed version is somewhat had to find. It is worth the effort to read in my opinion. :wave KC

How can one obtain a copy. I've not seen it on the new stand.

It's by subscription only - but I suspect they'd sell an individual copy to you.

Yeah, That is the rub. :dunno I get mine 3rd hand, after 2 others look it over. I knew my note would cause a problem for those trying to get a copy to read. Possibly the web site will allow it somehow. KC

Looks like seven bucks for a down loadable PDF of an entire back issue.
