Hi. I want to take my old 85 K 100 badges off. Any tricks?

Some suggest heat gun. Another WD and fishing line.

Any suggestions welcomed.

Thanks.

I just took a razor blade scraped old paint off cleaned the surface of the original base and applied the new roundel over the old base. you cant see the old base looks like new!

I used a hair dryer and dental floss to take the lettering off the back of my Jetta,
but it wasn't 23 years old. WD-40, simple green, thinner, I'd try everything.

Try the hair dryer first and heat the badge, not the surrounding metal.

I just removed mine last week. I warmed them with a heat gun, then worked a piece of dental floss back and forth. I had to use several pieces per badge due to the floss breaking. Once the badges were removed I used some 3M adhesive removal to get rid of the remaining residue. This worked well for me.
