82 r100rt fairing adjustment

The fairing on my bike has shifted ( to the left) and now it has rubbed the paint off my tank in a small spot. I have removed the tank, looked at the support brackets but not have been successful in shifting it slightly to the right. I did replace the foam tape on the fairing's edge, however it remains slammed up against the tank. Any thoughts ? Thanks.

Check the upper mounts by the dash with a mirror, they will be loose.

Also check the brace under the tank. Mine was broken.

You also may want to remove everything and check the upper mount where it attaches to the yoke. Mine was cracked along one of the welds. Clamped it up and rewelded, painted and put back on. Now solid and centred perfectly.

Also, check the mounting at the fairing. As they are going into old fiberglass, sometimes they have cracked and need to be repaired.
