The Boneyard guy also said my intermittent odometer readings is probably a result of a dirty speed sensor.

Could this be right? The speedo works, but the odometer and trip meter is iffy and has now stopped working. Is this a speedo gear issue which can be fixed or will I need a new cluster?

Also, the gear indicator LCD is blotchy and has stopped indicating properly. I'm seeing only "1's" and "0's" now. I'm also finding neutral in between 2 and 3rd. Hope it's not the start of tranny issues.

My take-away on 1st rattles just a little if I don't rev enough. Is this normal or minor clutch adjustment?

Thanks again.

Not if the speedo continues working..

See the sticky at the top of this forum on the odometer gears.

Likely two different issues. I'd direct you to the IBMWR K-tech faqs.. www.ibmwr.org - look for K tech. There is a writeup there on testing the gear indicator switch on your transmission. Most likely that's where that problem is.

As far as neutral between 2nd and 3rd - you may be due for a spline lube..

You don't adjust noise out of a clutch. Sounds abnormal. You should look at it the same time as the spline lube is being done.
Thanks again.
