We saw several of those rigs while touring southern Africa on motorcycles.
They are big, ugly, and expensive. But for self contained travel in the remotest of remote places they serve a purpose. If you've got enough money. I don't :dunno

I ran into one of those in northern Ontario last year. He had a GS on the back and had just returned from Paris Dakar. He was rigged up to supply internet wifi to participants of the PD. He was on his way to Alaska for the Iditirod.

I saw one at the chicken rally, Huntsville Al., a couple of years ago. I thought it was neat. No I can't afford one or need one. Probably couldn't even afford the insurance or fuel cost. But for those that can afford and want one good for them.
