Any experience with the Air Hawk seat pad. I'm considering for my 95 K100RS. The original seat is actually not too bad if you 're not riding it for 16 hours. The price point is attractive.
Thanks.

Freedom Air is pretty good, too. I was fortunate enough to try both. Every butt is different, but the FA was a clear winner for me.

Short of 6-700 dollars for a new seat it is fantastic. I have one but since put a sheepskin fitted seat cover on and use it here in AZ. Comfort wise they are about the same. The Air Hawk can be easily moved between bikes whereas the fitted sheepskin of course can not.

I am an Airhawk user, and after 60K I still think that for the money it beats a "custom" seat....YMMV

I have about 47000 miles on my Airhawk and it works very well. The key to comfort is don't put too much air in.
Start with no air and add a little at a time until you are barely off the seat.
I have the large one and if I put it on the seat in the normal position, I have discomfort in the "soft parts". Turning the cushion 180 degrees solves this.

My riding buddy uses one and swears by it. Use as little air as possible for the best ride.

The Airhawk makes my uncomfortable CLC seat bearable. A custom seat might be better but I'm unwilling to spend $600 on something that "might" be better. 500 miles or so is my limit per day so the Airhawk does the job for me. Ride Safe :usa

The AirHawk crushed some rather delicate parts of my anatomy. The FreedomAir has a design that avoids that (different shaped air-cells and a big V relief in the front.) I owned both at the same time, sold the AirHawk, kept the FreedomAir.

I too have a Freedom Air and an AirHawk. Much prefer the Freedom Air to the AirHawk.:dance

I purchased one for 3K mi. trip from PDX up to Banff Alberta a few weeks ago (on top of stock R11rt seat). I prefer the Alaska Leather sheepskin. I did not like the movement (even with very, very little air); nor did I like the strange pressure on my privates. I'm going to have Mr ED build me a custom.
If you want to take a chance with it (and if not sight violation) I will sell you mine. Make me an offer (my was purchase new one month ago..no damage, no problems)

Those are the two reasons I chose the Freedom Air.

I have heard the Air Hawk compared to a cheap hotel. :)
Due to my short legs, I am toying with the idea of using the FA on a filled-in low seat pan with no foam. The people at FA say it works best on a hard surface.

I've been using one for about a year. From my experience I agree with what someone told me about Air Hawks: "It won't make a good seat great, but it can make a bad seat better."
