Laura Trice: The power of saying thank you
In this deceptively simple 3-minute talk, Dr. Laura Trice muses on the power of the magic words "thank you" -- to deepen a friendship, to repair a bond, to make sure another person knows what they mean to you. Try it.

Wearing a crash helmet which failed to score the maximum five stars in new safety tests could mean less compensation after a crash, according to experts.

Insurers will argue it was your choice to wear only a three-or-four-star helmet and that you are therefore partly responsible for the extent of any injuries, it was claimed.

Does anyone know where a list of "Five Start" helmets can be found?

Great find Mika.

Your welcome.

Two things struck me when I read the 5 Star Helmet article. Fiirst was to tell myself this is a European based article but things like this learn how to swim. The second was to think about the implications for me.

That may seem a bit self centered but the helmet pictured in the article is a Shoei and it only received three stars. I have worn a Shoei helmet for years. The main reason for this is I have a size 8 and just a little head. For me of the limited number of helmets available that fit over that melon (even within the Shoei line not all of their helmets will fit) it is the most comfortable etc etc of the small lot. It works best, allows me to wear a helmet all the time and does not interfer with anything else and thus make me less safe bye wearing it. It was a bit unnerving to think that in selecting the best overall atgatt for me I could be penalized for my choice because of my head size which I have no control over.

I will keep my eye out for future related articles.
