If anyone can give me a suggestion it would much appreciated! I traded in my '01 1100RT with a center stand for an '02 1200c without a center stand - love the bike! The guy I bought it from also sold me an auxiliary stand, but I neglected to ask how it works. Tried this weekend, no luck.

I attached the stand to the frame using the cotter pins. The stand was leaning towards the back of the bike. That's as far as I got. There was no way I could figure out how to use the other tool to basically leverage the bike up. Anyone know of any printed materials, a web link, pics, etc?

Thanks!

Ryan

Ryan - Check Chromeheads.org for answers to this and many other BMW Cruiser related topics!

Check the tech section and search for auxiliary or maintenance stand.

I just got one for the CLC and for the one I have at least it goes like this.
Put the kick stand on a 2X4 line up the holes from the left side, put in the pins. At this point it is not level. Put the handle on the lift and with the left hand straighten the bike and with the right hand (not the foot) push down on the handle (the Key here is put your weight on it) and like magic the bike is on the stand.
Your mileage may vary since I don't know which one you are using but the one I have is for the CLC and the person I bought it from (on the Chrome Heads site) also makes them for the C too! Good luck and take your time and it might help to have some one with you the first time.

Both of these posts were very helpful, thank you. I was able to find a website with pictures and plan to try it very soon. I'm taking the advice and getting a friend to help me the first time.
