Spent this weekend cruising San Antonio and Austin from Corpus Christi. After getting my brake and clutch lines flushed (thanks Rhinewest!) The Ducati dealer out west of San Antonio was a treat. I thought Opera music played in a Duc dealership was a joke , yes? __ NO! Go see for yourself! the Moto Guzzis were very impressive as well.
Then, I shopped for a pair of boots in the Austin BMW dealership. I was duly impressed by all the bikes. . When I went outside, I noted a 2300 cc Triumph pulled up next to my red zebra K1200RS. I thought my bike was big! Then, next to him, a Ducati Hypomotard dude pulls up! The comments on the Triumph was that it is a real conversation starter, and the comment on the Duc was that it just wants to wheelie everywhere you go! What a contrast in these bikes, let me tell ya!
Motorcycling is alive and well in America. . . and I am glad. Any and all of these bikes looked like fine machines.
