Just got back from looping thru New England. There's no color yet. Maybe just a few branches. 28 degrees this morning in Lake Placid. That'll do it. 2 more weeks.

Traditionally peak color at Whiteface Mountain in the Adirondack is Columbus Day weekend but that date can vary a couple of weeks depending on the weather.

I did State Highway 12 in Colorado over Cuchara Pass Thursday otherwise called the "highway of legends" and the scrub oak started turning and just a few aspens. Looks like not this weekend but next might be getting there in the passes of Colorado.

The leaves are starting to change here in Southern Minnesota. My guess is that they will peak in about 7-10 days.

Hey all; here in northern Michigan we are still a couple of weeks (or more) from peak colors. Just a few maples or aspens coloring right now. Great time to be riding though!! Vaya con Dios, Dutch

Here in Kansas we are starting to see a very premature tuening of colors. I fear a colder than normal winter. This summer was extremely mild. The purple martins migrated a month early and our winter ospreys have already shown up. I hope the signs are wrong.
